Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026.
This policy explains what information Sportuto collects, why we collect it, how long we hold it, and which choices you have. We try to keep this in plain language — no legalese without a definition nearby.
1. Who We Are
Sportuto is an independent sports media publisher operating at sportuto.com. For privacy enquiries, write to privacy@sportuto.com.
2. Data We Collect
- Server logs. IP address, user agent, referrer page and timestamp. Kept for 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then anonymised.
- Analytics. Privacy-friendly, IP-anonymised page-view counts to measure what readers find useful. We do not use cross-site tracking.
- Email. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address long enough to respond and audit our work, then archive.
3. Cookies and Storage
Sportuto uses only first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function (such as remembering your dark-mode preference). We do not set marketing or advertising cookies without explicit consent, and any future consent banner will default to "opt out".
4. Advertising
Ads displayed on Sportuto come from vetted third-party networks. These networks may use cookies or device identifiers to control frequency and measure campaign performance. You can opt out at any time using your browser's privacy settings, your operating system's privacy controls, or industry opt-out pages such as youradchoices.com.
5. How We Use Information
- To deliver the content you request.
- To monitor and prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents.
- To improve articles, design and navigation based on aggregate, anonymous reading patterns.
- To respond when you write to us.
6. Sharing
We never sell personal data. We share data only with: (a) infrastructure providers under contract to host the site; (b) advertising partners you have consented to; (c) authorities when legally compelled.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR, CCPA and similar regional laws, you can request access, correction or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@sportuto.com with your request; we respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Data
Sportuto is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it within seven days.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will publish a notice at the top of this page for at least 14 days, update the "last updated" date, and — where appropriate — notify subscribers.
10. Contact
Questions, complaints or data requests: privacy@sportuto.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
